Not too long ago, my friend Lynn introduced us to Back-to-Nature organic cookies. (I think everyone we know knows that we've been avoiding high fructose corn syrup.)
Anyway, Lynn had some Peanut Butter Creme cookies that are a lot like Nutter Butters--but better! After that I bought a package of their Chocolate Creme cookies, that are a lot like Hydrox or Oreo cookies, only without hfcs or unhealthy fats. They were excellent! Just what the doctor ordered when dipped into some organic 2% milk!
The next time we went grocery, we went to Meijer, and they happened to have Chocolate Mint Creme sandwich cookies. Oh. My. Gosh. That's all I have to say about that!!
Tonight, Steve ran to the store to pick up a few things, and I asked him to see if our local Marsh had the Back-to-Nature cookies. Unfortunately they didn't, but they did have Hint 'o Mint Newman-O's--so he bought a package of those. They were ok, but not as good as the Back-to-Nature. The cookie part of the Back-to-Nature is crispy, where the Newman-O's version is more crunchy. (In my opinion, crispy is much better when you're dunking in milk.)
Steve also picked up a package of Newman-O's Ginger Cremes. I guess they're like gingersnaps with a creme filling. I think he got them because he knew they'd be safe because neither Simon nor I like gingersnaps. Steve seems to be pretty satisfied with them though.
Although they have nothing to do with cookies, he also picked up a box of Java Logs brand firelogs. I read an article about fake firelogs versus burning real wood in your fireplace, and the article said that if you get the right kind, the fake firelogs are actually better for the environment than burning real logs. I know the last few times we burnt wood from the property, we've all three wound up with upper respiratory infections; so I started getting the fake logs. Then I realized that the all natural ones don't reek of chemicals while burning, so I started getting them instead. The article I was reading the other day mentioned the Java Logs, that are actually made of used coffee grounds, so they're a good alternative to the other kinds. (The wrapper says it takes 365 cups of recycled coffee to make one log.) The paper wrapper on the outside smells a little like coffee, so I'm eager to see if it smells like coffee while it's burning. It's too late tonight to light one, but I'm sure we'll fire one up after church tomorrow. I'll let you know if it smells like burnt coffee. (Ick, I hope not.)

I found out that Back-to-Nature cookies are actually from Kraft, so you should be able to find them anywhere.
Also, we burnt two of the Java logs so far, and they don't really smell at all. They definitely don't have that chemical smell while burning like other fake logs, so I like them.
